Sunday 16th June saw the close of the fourth South West Online Timed Auction of Tractors, Telehandlers, Excavators, RTV’s, UTV’s, Vehicles, Farm Machinery, Livestock Equipment, and other equipment for the Stags Agricultural Sales team.

1724 lots were catalogued by the team in the weeks before the start of the auction which commenced at 7pm on the 6th June.

During the 10-day period of the sale being open, the auction attracted 988,164 visits to the sale catalogue with 2106 bidders registering for this specific sale. Over £1,354,297 worth of bids (not all successful) were placed before the virtual hammer dropped on the Sunday evening. The auction saw a total of 482 purchasers who were from a variety of national and international areas including Republic of Ireland, France, Derby, Guildford, Hemel Hempstead, Stevenage, Portsmouth, Wales, Oxford, Coventry, Southampton, Swindon, Dudley, Gloucestershire, Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset & everywhere in between!

The top call was seen for a 1989 John Deere 3650 4WD Tractor which was part of a dispersal sale due to ceasing arable production on the farm. This particular item made £20,250 on the night of the auction and is now making its way to Melksham.

Next up was the 1996 Massey Ferguson 399 4WD Tractor which was unsold at the fall of the hammer but was quickly sold by a member of our team shortly after, making £18,250. This was followed closely behind by a 2013 Land Rover Defender 90 with 47,931 miles on the clock which made £17,750. A 2023 John Deere 4WD Gator saw a similar figure to the afore mentioned which has now made its way to Cornwall.

As well as agricultural machinery and equipment, we also have a large variety of miscellaneous items included in our auctions. A particular favourite within the June auction was a 4m x 2.15m converted shepherds hut this gained a lot of interest in the days leading up to the close of the sale and as a result, reached an impressive total of £10,250.

Our next Online Timed Auction will take place from Thursday 25th July until Sunday 4th August with entries closing on the 22nd July.
